Do not interpret serum levels of CA 125 as absolute evidence of the presence or absence of malignant disease. Measurements of CA 125 should always be used in conjunction with other diagnostic procedures, including information from the patient’s clinical evaluation.
Patients with renal insufficiency, including diabetics, retention could be much longer. Such specimens can produce either falsely elevated or falsely depressed values and should not be tested with this assay.
