Specimen Requirements
Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube(s) or a serum gel tube(s) 8-12 hours after last dose (trough specimen). (Heparinized specimen is not acceptable.) Peak serum concentrations do not correlate with symptoms. Spin down and send 1 mL of serum refrigerated.
